先週金曜日、帰り道に自由が丘へ寄ったら駅前で盆踊りをやっていました。８月１日から４日までだそうです。本屋に向かうとふと聴こえてきた「東京音頭」のはあ～～。あまりにその声がすばらしくて、足がくぎづけになりました。

これは去年のをyoutubeでお借りしましたが、これです。この炭坑節は三橋美智也さんでしょうか。これもいいです。しかしこの東京音頭は誰の歌なんでしょう。まさにグレート・テナー！　絶品であります。僕はドイツリートより日本民謡の方が好きです。こんな美声で聴けるならいつまででも聴いていたいぐらいです。おかあさんたちの踊りもいい感じでなごませていただきました。日本の心ですね。

This  shows the Obon-Dance Festival held in front of the Jiyuugaoka-station in Setagaya, Tokyo.  This kind of folk dance festival is traditionally very common in August and held almost anywhere across Japan. This video is last year’s at the same place  but music stay the same every year.  As you see it’s a lot of fun for everybody!

Although the pieces are very popular among all Japanese, I was struck dumb with hearing  these great tenor voices!  The first piece “Tankou-bushi” is probably sung by Michiya Mihashi,  a famous professional singer of Japanese  songs. I am not familiar with the second,  singing “Tokyo-Ondo”.  He is really great, I think.
